Buses in Zone 7 are cancelled

School Buses in Zone 7 are cancelled today (Feb. 27) due to inclement weather.

All other buses are running as normal.

All schools are open.

Kindergarten registration at the following schools will continue as scheduled from 9 a.m.to 5:30 p.m.:

– Thamesville Area Central School

– Zone Township Public School

K of P installs two new members

The Knights of Pythias installed two new members on Tuesday.

Pasta Dinner being held for Christian School

A pasta dinner and auction is being held in Wallaceburg in support of Wallaceburg Christian School.

The dinner will be held Saturday, March 2 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Wallaceburg Christian Reformed Church, 150 Bruinsma Ave. in Wallaceburg.

Cost is on a donation basis.

People interested in attending need to RSVP by Thursday, February 28.

The event is intended for adults only.

Family Centre holding ‘penny sale’ in Wallaceburg

The Family Centre in Wallaceburg is hosting a ‘penny sale’ on Thursday, February 28 at the UAW Hall in Wallaceburg.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the sale starts at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for 25 tickets.

Currently, organizers say they have over 200 prizes, including a ton of gift cards from local establishments.

Admission is free.

Pop, chips, and Bill’s International Pizza slices will be available for purchase throughout the night.

This event is being held to raise funds for the Family Centre’s School Age Summer Program.
