‘Daffodil Campaign’ volunteers needed in Wallaceburg

The Canadian Cancer Society is seeking volunteers in Wallaceburg for their annual ‘Daffodil Campaign’.

Theresa Blondin, volunteer engagement coordinator for the local Canadian Cancer Society branch, said some help is needed locally.

“At the Canadian Cancer Society, we know that cancer changes people,” Blondin said in a press release.

“But we believe that a cancer diagnosis doesn’t have to define who they are. We are committed to helping people live longer and enhancing the quality of life for all of those affected by cancer.”

Blondin said it will soon be time for their ‘Daffodil Campaign’, where they raise money to fund “ground-braking life-saving research, support services for those living cancer, and advocacy to governments on important cancer related issues to drive important social change and funding.

“We can’t make the ‘Daffodil Campaign’ a success without passionate volunteers. We are currently recruiting a Site Manager to coordinate volunteers in Wallaceburg for a weekend in April,” she said.

Blondin is encouraging anyone interested to contact the local office for more information by phone at 519-352-3960 or email theresa.blondin@ontario.cancer.ca.

“Join us by volunteering and together, we can prove that life is bigger than cancer. Take action now,” Blondin said.
