Chatham-Kent Council: March 4, 2019 agenda

Grade 5 students from Holy Family School in Wallaceburg had a chance to learn about local government during a visit to the Civic Centre this week. Students had a chance to sit in council chambers, hear from Mayor Darrin Canniff and Clerk Judy Smith and hold a mock election (Municipality of Chatham-Kent)

Chatham-Kent Council is set to meet for a regular meeting on Monday night, March 4, 2019.

The meeting is set to begin at 6 p.m. at the Chatham-Kent Civic Centre in Chatham.

Council will also meet in closed session on Monday to discuss:

– Proposed disposition of land by the Municipality with regard to Surplus Property Declaration – Parkland at Churchill Park Road, Chatham.

– Personal matters about identifiable individuals including municipal or local board employees with regard to CK Plan 2035 Advisory Committee appointments.

– Advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose with regard to Process for Changing Development Charges – Public Utilities Commission.

– Litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board, and advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose with regard to Wastewater Systems Effluent.

– Advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose with regard to Integrity Commissioner Investigations.

– And personal matters about an identifiable individual and advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose with regard to former Mayor Compensation.
