Police investigating threat at WDSS

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police responded to Wallaceburg District Secondary School in regards to a threatening note that was found in the school.

In consultation with the LKDSB, a decision was made to close the school today.

“I can ensure everyone that we are taking the contents of this note very seriously and that officers will be in Wallaceburg today to further investigate the matter in an effort to identify the person responsible.”

At this time, police believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to any other schools in the Wallaceburg area.
