Midget Reps hosting Game #5 of OMHA finals in Wallaceburg

Wallaceburg Memorial Arena is expected to be packed on Friday night, March 29, as the Wallaceburg Midget Rep Lakers host the Penetanguishene Flames in Game #5 of the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) Midget ‘B’ finals.

Wallaceburg split two games with the Flames last weekend in Penetanguishene, after splitting two games in Wallaceburg the previous weekend.

Three of the four games have went to overtime.

Both teams have 4 points apiece in the 6 point series.

With a win, either the Lakers or the Flames would be crowned at OMHA champions on Friday night.

In the event of a tie, the teams would travel north for the deciding Game #6 on Saturday in Penetanguishene.

“Bring your Lakers colours, sport your (Wallaceburg Minor Hockey Association) gear, bring your noise makers and your loudest cheers to push our teams along to victory,” Wallaceburg Minor Hockey Association officials stated on social media.

“We’ve got home ice advantage and we’re gonna use it.”

Puck drops for the game at 7:50 p.m.

The Wallaceburg Lakers Peewee Reps have a shot at clinching a Shamrock League Playoff Championship on Friday as well.

Their game gets underway at Wallaceburg Memorial Arena at 6:30 p.m.
