Box lunch order deadline is today

Community Living Wallaceburg is getting ready to serve a healthy and balanced lunch again, as part of their annual Box Lunch fundraiser. Last year the organization was able to make and deliver over 2,100 lunches across Chatham-Kent and Lambton County.

“This year we are hoping to match and surpass the number of lunches we can provide,” stated Rhian Reilly, Communications and Fund Development Specialist at Community Living Wallaceburg, in a press release.

“This program is really quite unique as it brings together local businesses, volunteers and sponsors for one incredible morning.”

The lunch, which costs $10, includes one of three sandwich choices, a side, fresh fruit, bottle of water and a desert, all served in a reusable lunch bag.

“What makes this program so special is that you get a well-balanced lunch delivered right to your door,” Reilly added.

“Not only that but each meal is prepared by our team of volunteers consisting of local businesses, family members and individuals supported through our organization. The enthusiasm and effort of our volunteers ensures that we can make this program successful.”

The Community Living Box Lunch program is one of the many fundraisers held by the Wallaceburg non-profit organization and helps raise much needed funds for a wide variety of supports and services that the organization offers.

Anyone wishing to volunteer to assist with the early morning meal preparations as well as delivery is encouraged to call Alisha or Adam at 519-627-0777 ext. 2101.

Available for $10, box lunches must be preordered no later than Monday, April 1st.

Order forms are available online at www.clwboxlunch.com or by visiting the office at 1100 Dufferin Ave, Wallaceburg.

Community Living Wallaceburg is a proud and progressive organization that enables people to realize their potential and choices within inclusive communities.

The Agency provides a full range of accommodation, short break, community and employment supports to more than 400 individuals and their families throughout Chatham-Kent.
