The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is set to be implementing a new fee related to special event applications.
Special Event Application Late Fee: $150

Municipla officials say the Special Events Manual stipulates that event applications are due eight weeks prior to the event date.
On February 5, 2019 Council approved the $150 special event application late fee.
After the April 15, 2019 implementation date, this charge will be levied on all applications that are six weeks or less from their event date.
A valid special event application form consists of a completed special event application form, any additional forms pertaining to an event’s activities, and a certificate of insurance.
As noted, if an application is received with less than six weeks of notice, there will be a late fee of $150.
