Development Standards Manual feedback sought

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is looking for feedback on their new draft Development Standards Manual until April 26, 2019.

“Development Standards are both a technical design and development process manual intended to provide clarity and a more streamlined process for internal staff, contractors, developers, consulting engineers/designers and others to use when submitting development applications/plans to the Municipality,” Municipal officials said in a press release.

“It clearly defines the Municipality’s expectations and requirements for new developments in a single-sourced, easy to use document.”

The manual, which is new for the Municipality, is intended to be a ‘living’ document that will be reviewed and updated accordingly, as policies and standards change over time, Municipal officials say.
