Woman charged with drug related offences

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, members of the Intelligence Section executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a motel in Chatham.

A quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl was seized.

A 54-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with three counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking and failing to comply with her release conditions.

She was released pending a future court date of May 9, 2019.

Theft of bicycles in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning, unknown suspects entered a shed on Peterborough Drive and stole a white & orange ladies Giant bicycle and a white, pink & grey ladies Giant bicycle.

Total value of the theft has been estimated at $2,100.

Pair found together and charged

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On February 4, 2019 a man was released from court with several conditions.

One of those conditions stated that he was not to communicate with a specific woman.

Yesterday afternoon, police received information that the man and woman were driving around together in a pick-up truck.

Last night, police located the pair and they were arrested.

The 29-year-old Morpeth man has been charged with failing to comply with his release conditions.

The 33-year-old Shrewsbury woman has been charged with facilitating a breach.

Both have been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man charged with break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On March 27, police responded to a break and enter at a residence on Teal Drive in Blenheim.

At this time, the homeowner reported that unknown suspects had entered her home and stolen a laptop, Supercycle bike and silverware.

Through investigation, police identified the man responsible and he was arrested yesterday.

A 23-year-old Blenheim man has been charged with break and enter and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.

He was transported to the Courthouse where he was released pending a future court date of May 1, 2019.

Man arrested on outstanding warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, police arrested a man wanted for mischief under $5,000 in connection with damage caused at the car and dog wash in Chatham last August.

A 45-year-old Windsor man was released pending a future court date of May 8, 2019.
