James Aquash of Detroit and a member of Walpole Island First Nation passed away suddenly in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Friday, April 5, 2019 at the age of 68. James is the son of the late Barbara Kiyoshk and Morris Aquash. Beloved brother of Clara Kicknosway (the late James), Mavis Kiyoshk, Lori Kiyoshk, Noah Shipman (April), Elaine Tooshkenig (Tom), Gail Kicknosway (George), Tom Shipman, Wilf Shipman and Daniel Shipman (Christine). Wake services will be held at the Walpole Island Sports Complex on Wednesday from 6 – 9 PM. The funeral will be celebrated at the Sports Complex on Thursday, April 11 at 2 PM. Interment to follow at Highbanks Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg.
