Police: B&E in Wallaceburg, stolen ATV recovered

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday, April 27, 2019 at approximately 5 p.m., police were dispatched to attend the area of Whitebread Line, Wallaceburg, in response to a call of a break and enter.

Sometime overnight unknown suspects entered complainant’s barn and stole approximately $1,500 worth of power tools.

Stolen motor vehicle recovered

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday, April 27, 2019 at approximately 1 p.m., police were dispatched to an address on Talbot Trail, Morpeth, in response to a call of a stolen motor vehicle.

Sometime overnight, unknown suspects stole a Yamaha ATV from the complainant’s property.

The ATV was reported abandoned by a resident on McKinlay Road a short while later, as a suspicious vehicle.

The owner was able to recover his ATV.

The owner of the ATV as well as police thank the residents of McKinlay Road for their assistance.

Liquor Licence Act

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday, April 27, 2019 close to midnight, police were dispatched to attend the area of King Street, Blenheim, in response to a call of a disturbance.

Two intoxicated males, a 20-year-old Dutton man and a 20-year-old Blenheim man refusing to leave area, were arrested for being intoxicated in a public place, transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters and lodged till sober.

Mischief/theft

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Friday, April 26, 2019 at approximately 10 a.m., police were dispatched to a business located on Hart Place, Chatham, in response to a call of a theft.

At approximately 1 a.m., an unknown male suspect was observed cutting the lock off of a storage locker.

Refrigeration repair equipment was stolen from the locker valued at approximately $1,000.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Friday, April 26, 2019 at approximately 10:30 p.m., police were dispatched to attend the area of Cundle Line, Blenheim, in response to a call of a break and enter.

Sometime overnight unknown suspects entered the home under construction and stole approximately $5,000 worth of construction tools.

Bail violations

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday, April 27, 2019 shortly before 3 a.m., a patrol officer while performing a traffic stop, observed a known male party in the passenger seat.

The 34-year-old Blenheim man was currently under bail conditions to observe a nightly curfew.

The man was arrested for failing to comply with the condition of his release.

He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
