A Walpole Island teenager brought home some hardware after competing in the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships in Whitehorse, Yukon.
Taryn Jacobs, a Grade 9 student at WDSS, played on Team Ontario in the tournament, which ran from May 6 to May 12.
At the conclusion of the tournament, Jacobs and Team Ontario won the bronze medal.
Jacobs will be playing for the Southwest Wildcats IAA team next season.
