Emergency First Aid & CPR AED for Teens

Courses offered at the following date and locations:

July 3 – 8:30am to 4:30pm – Chatham, Goodwill Career Centre
July 4 – 9:00am to 5:00pm – Wallaceburg, Wallaceburg Wellness Centre
July 10 – 9:00am to 5:00pm – Strathroy, Tranquil Massage and Wellness Centre
July 11 – 9:00am to 5:00pm – Glencoe, Royal Canadian Legion
July 17 – 9:00am to 5:00pm – Rodney, West Elgin Recreation Centre
July 24 – 9:00am to 5:00pm – Bothwell, Bothell Legion

Eligibility: Must be 13 to 16 years old. (13 at the time of registration)
Cost: $65.00

Certification valid for: First Aid: 3 years, CPR AED: 1 year (annual CPR AED renewal is recommended)

The following are the topics you learn:
• Emergency scene management
• Shock, fainting and unconsciousness
• Head, spine and pelvic injuries
• Severe bleeding, burns and wound care
• Medical conditions (including asthma, allergies, diabetic emergencies, seizures, and poisoning)
• CPR AED for adults, child and infants. Includes choking – adult, child, infant

Course content is provided by Heart and Stroke Foundation.
