Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday around 5 p.m. the homeowners of a residence on Langstaff Line arrived home as an unknown Caucasian man and woman were fleeing from the property in a green Ford Focus.

Stolen from the residence was jewelry.

Man charged with failing to comply

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: In October 2018, a man was released from police custody with a condition to sign into the Chatham-Kent Police Service on a specific day every week, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The man failed to do this and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Last night at 7 p.m. the man attended CKPS Headquarters to turn himself in.

The 28-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing to comply.

He was released with a future court date.

Man charged with failing to comply

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 6, 2019 a man was released from police custody with a condition to remain inside his residence between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Last night at 11:30 p.m. the man was observed on Fork Street in Wallaceburg by an officer who was aware of his curfew condition.

As a result, the 29-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with failing to comply.

He was transported to CKPS Headquarters where he has been held for a bail hearing.

Coatsworth man charged with impaired driving

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night at 11:30 p.m. an officer on general patrol in the area of Wheatley Road and Campbell Road initiated a traffic stop.

The officer believed the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested.

He was transported to a police station for breath tests.

The 19-year-old Coatsworth man was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

He was released with a future court date.
