Man charged with drug possession

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On March 28, 2018 the man entered into a Probation Order with several conditions.

Two of those conditions stated that he was not to possess or consume any unlawful drugs or substances.

Yesterday morning, the man’s surety brought him to police headquarters as he was under the influence of drugs and breaching his release conditions.

The man was arrested and upon being searched, was found to be in possession of fentanyl.

A 35-year-old Chatham man was charged with drug possession and two counts of failing to comply with his Probation Order.

He was released pending a future court date of June 19, 2019.

Pair charged with communicating with each other

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 12, 2019 a man and woman were released from Court with conditions not to communicate with each other.

Yesterday morning, police found the pair together at a residence in Chatham.

The 32-year-old man and 25-year-old woman have been arrested and charged with failing to comply.

They have been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man charged with failing to comply

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On February 13, 2019 a man was released from custody with several conditions.

One of those conditions stated that he was not to attend a specific address on McNaughton Avenue in Chatham.

Yesterday afternoon, police received information that the man was at the residence.

Police located the man inside the residence and he was arrested.

The 40-year-old Chatham man has been charged with failing to comply.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man charged with breaching curfew

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday, a man was released from custody with several conditions.

One of those conditions stated that he was to obey a daily curfew of 9:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Just before 10 p.m. last night, an officer on general patrol observed the man walking through a parking lot on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg.

The 29-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with failing to comply.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Executed warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On April 12, 2019 a man failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Last night, police located the man and he was arrested.

A 42-year-old Chatham man was released pending a future court date of June 18, 2019.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, OPP arrested a man in Leamington wanted for failing to attend court in Chatham-Kent.

The 26-year-old man was transported back to Chatham-Kent for court purposes.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

MVC in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police responded to a collision on Michener Road.

The driver, struck a parked car and fled on foot.

Officers located the man and through investigation he was charged with careless driving and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.

The 28-year-old Chatham man will be required to attend Provincial Offences Court at a later time.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police conducted a RIDE spot check on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.

A total of 56 vehicles were stopped with no infractions observed.
