The official ribbon cutting ceremony of the Chatham-Kent Animal Shelter will take place in front of the Park Ave. East facility on Thursday, May 23 at 11 a.m.
The invitation-only event will begin with welcoming remarks and thanks to donors and volunteers following by an address by Mayor Darrin Canniff.
The date of an open house for the general public will be announced during the ceremony.
