Break and enter in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, unknown suspects entered an unlocked shed at a home on Mirwin Road in Wallaceburg.

Unknown suspects entered the shed and removed some tractor batteries as well as tools valued around $1,000

Break and enter in Raleigh Township

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime Thursday night between 6:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. unknown suspects entered a home on Fifth line Raleigh Township.

Unknown suspects entered an unlocked garage and removed a set of Women’s Golf Clubs, electronics as well as multiple bottles of alcohol.

Female charged with theft

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On the 27th of May, 2019 a female shop lifter was caught on camera removing samples of prescription sunglasses from a store on St. Clair St.

Value of the glasses were $600.

On Friday morning officers on general patrol located the female party of no fixed address and she was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.

She was released from Chatham-Kent Police custody and turned over to Sarnia Police as she held a number of outstanding warrants in their jurisdiction.

Woman charged with fraud related offences

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: In April, police were contacted by a business in Chatham with concerns over an employee possibly identifying herself as a doctor, and writing forged doctor notes and prescriptions.

After a lengthy police investigation, yesterday officers located 39 year-old Chatham woman and charged her with Adult Fraud under $5,000.00 x 2, Adult Make Forged Document x 2, Adult use, deals, and acts on forged document x 2.

She has been released from custody with a future court date of June 19th, 2019.
