Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday, June 29, 2019 at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to attend the location of the LCBO in Wallaceburg, at 30 McNaughton Avenue in response to a call of a theft.

Officers attended the area and located the 23-year-old Wallaceburg woman who was charged with theft under $5,000 and possession under $5,000, and was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and lodged until sober.

Man charged with being intoxicated in a public place

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police received a report of a disturbance in the Sheldon Avenue area of Chatham.

Officers located the 49-year-old Chatham man, who was taken into custody for his own safety, as he was unable to care for himself.

The man was charged with being intoxicated in a public place, transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and lodged till sober.

Woman charged with over 80

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday, a 25-year-old Wallaceburg woman was denied service at the L.C.B.O. store on 30 McNaughton Avenue, for being intoxicated.

Officers were called, and located the woman driving a motor vehicle.

Through investigation, the officer believed that the woman’s ability to drive the motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, and she was arrested.

She was transported to police headquarters for breath tests.

The woman was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

She was released, when sober, with a future court date to answer to the charge.
