Firefighters responded to an equipment fire at New Rubber Technologies, located at 28 Mill St. West, on Monday.
“Firefighters from Station #19 responded just after 11:30 (Monday) afternoon to a machine on fire at New Rubber Technologies in Tilbury,” fire officials say.
“Crews entered the building to find heavy smoke conditions. Stations #17 and #20 were called in to assist. Firefighters quickly got the fire under control and protected exposures.
Fire officials say the estimated damage is $100,000 to the machine.
