Police: Windshield smashed, warrant, drunk in public

Windshield smashed

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On July 9, 2019 at approximately 4 p.m., police were called to a South End Crescent address in
Chatham.

The windshield of the complainant’s 2012 Blue Hyundai Veloster had been damaged.

It appeared the damage was caused by two blunt force impacts.

Damage is estimated at approximately $500.

Warrant/arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On July 9 at 5 p.m., an anonymous caller contacted police with the location of a male party
wanted by this service for drug related charges.

Officers attended the area and after a brief foot chase, the 41-year-old Chatham man was arrested and held for bail.

Drunk in public

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On July 9, 2019 at approximately 9:50 p.m., police received a complaint of a disturbance in the area of Baldoon Road in Chatham.

Police attended and arrested a 39-year-old man for Intoxicated in a public place.

The male party was held until sober.

Mischief

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On July 10 at approximately 4:13 a.m., unknown persons threw a rock at the front door of The Ontario Electronic Vape store located at 218 Queen Street in Chatham.

The door received a large crack in the glass and damages are estimated at approximately $200.
