TD Summer Reading Club in Wallaceburg

This summer, Chatham-Kent Public Library invites you to trek through the wilderness, real or imagined. Kids can sign up for TD Summer Reading Club beginning Saturday, June 22, and can participate all summer long. Through books, programs, and conversations, TD Summer Reading Club kids will explore their own backyards and the world beyond, and will be amazed by the natural world and the role it plays in their imaginations and daily lives.

Weaving the Rainbow

Thursday, August 1 at 2:30 pm
Using cardboard, sticks, yarn and beads you will create your very own wall hanging to proudly display. Ages 6+. Registration required.

Explore the Solar System!

Tuesday, August 6 at 2:30 pm
Join us to learn about and create our solar system. Ages 6+.

Rock On!

Thursday, August 8 at 2:30 pm
We will be rocking around the Wallaceburg Branch as we paint rocks and beach stones. Ages 5 and under.

LEGO

Saturday, August 10 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Downtown for WAMBO? Include the library on your tour and get creative and have fun! All ages.

“Once Upon a Time” Storytime

Tuesday, August 13 at 2:30 pm
Get all dressed up and come meet Snow White for storytime! Please bring your own camera. All ages.

Mystic Drumz Show “The Road to Jello Town”

Thursday, August 15 at 2:30pm
Join us on a world music adventure that takes participants around the globe in search of amazing instruments and sounds. Featuring Log Drums, Snare Drums, Lizard Skin Tambourines, Giant Temple Bells and Chimes and Nunavut for Pow-Wow drumming and more. All ages. Sponsored by the Canadian Belgium Dutch Club and Kinsmen Club of Wallaceburg. Free tickets available beginning July 25.

Staycation Stay & Play

August 19 to 31
Drop in. Explore nature with games, activities and crafts to make your time at home feel like a vacation! All ages.

Children who participate in TD Summer Reading Club have the opportunity to read fines-free all summer long! Ask branch staff for details.
