2nd Farmers’ Market of 2019 held in Wallaceburg

The second installment of the Wallaceburg Farmers’ Market for the 2019 season was held this past Saturday, July 13.

The sun was shining and the temperatures were perfect to allow hundreds of people to wander the vendor booths stocked with fresh local produce and homemade products.

The market ran from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the former Liquidation World parking lot on James Street.

This event was sponsored by the Downtown Wallaceburg BIA.

The following vendors were present at the Farmers’ Market: Parks Blueberries, Williamson Farms, The Baker’s Affair, The Popcorn Barn, Your Hometown Deli, Tacq’s Garden Market, Farmer’s Market Vendor Booth, Tickled Pink Bath Delights, Two Women and a Stove Catering, Indian Tacos and Henna by Julie.

“We chose to support the market today, because it is a good way to get your business out in the open, especially when people don’t know you who you are,” representatives with Two Women and a Stove Catering told the Sydenham Current.

“We were actually here two years ago, but last year, unfortunately, we were too busy to come in. We are hoping that we get some more customers, possibly some new business opportunities, and some new catering jobs.”

If you were unable to attend the Farmers’ Market this weekend, don’t worry.

The next three markets are: July 27, August 17 and September 21, 2019.
