Man arrested on warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On July 19, 2019 at 2:16 p.m. a 43-year-old man turned himself in on a warrant pertaining to a domestic assault incident.

This man was brought before a bail court and released on a series of conditions including not to communicate with the victim in any way.

At 4:45 p.m. the man was released from police custody.

He immediately contacted the victim in this matter and threatened them; violating his conditions.

He was subsequently located and held pending another bail hearing.

Domestic leads to arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On July 19, 2019 police attended an address in Chatham for a domestic disturbance.

A man and woman were located inside the residence arguing.

Their argument was found to not be criminal in nature; however the woman was found to have an outstanding warrant.

An 18-year-old woman was arrested and transferred to OPP custody.

LLA arrests

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Throughout the Municipality five persons were arrested under the Liquor License Act as they were too intoxicated to care for themselves.

Excessive alcohol consumption in extreme heat can lead to dehydration and severe intoxication.

If you are going to consume alcohol make sure you also consume water and hydrate properly.
