The Wallaceburg Farmers’ Market did not disappoint with their fourth installment on Saturday, August 17.

The weather cooperated, with the sun shining and humidity gone.

Hundreds of people attended the market, perusing the vendor booths stocked with fresh local produce and homemade products.

The market, sponsored by the Wallaceburg BIA, ran from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Municipal Parking lot on James Street in Wallaceburg.

The following vendors were present at the Farmer’s Market: Parks Blueberries, Williamson Farms, The Baker’s Affair , Tacq’s Garden Market, Wallaceburg Wellness Centre, Tickled Pink Bath Delights, Two Women and a Stove Catering, Indian Tacos, Glasstown Quilts, Black Dog Garlic, Fresh Local Garlic and Henna by Julie.

“So it was my sister Deb Vancoillie that encouraged me to come to the market,” Rita Poolman, owner of Glasstown Quilts, told the Sydenham Current.

“So, I looked at the dates and decided that the ones closest to the colder season, August and September, were the best times for me to come. And so far, I can tell you that I haven’t been disappointed. Sales have been quite good this morning, so I’m very impressed.”

If you were unable to attend this past weekend, you can come and support the final market of the 2019 season on September 21, 2019.
