Lillian HESTER Glover, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully at the CKHA-Sydenham Campus on Monday, September 16, 2019 at the age of 94.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Stanley Glover in 1972 and her siblings Irene Beck, Lee Shaw, Betty Ellis and infant sister Marie. Survived by her sister Dora North, and her children Diane, Doug (Jayne) and Brian (Judith). Gram to Brent, Lindsay (Jim) and Brynelle, G.G. to Erika and MacKenzie and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Hester’s career involved retail and working at 2 different banks, all in Wallaceburg. She was a charter member of Wallaceburg Sydenham Curling Club, member of the Snye Patriotic League and life member of Trinity United Church. Hester enjoyed golf, euchre, travelling and being surrounded by her family at the home farm. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her baking skills and also as a kind caring and gentle woman.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 5-8 PM on Wednesday. The funeral will be celebrated at Trinity United Church on Thursday, September 19 at 11 AM. Interment in Owen Cemetery.
