Search for missing woman continues around Wallaceburg

The Chatham-Kent Police continue to search for Catherine Boyle, 70 years, of Meadowvale Line, just outside of Wallaceburg.

Police say she is described as 5’2”, approximately 150 lbs. with curly brown and grey hair. Investigators believe she may be wearing flip flops, carrying a large grey purse and driving a 2005 white Ford Explorer Sport Trac with Ontario license plates AZ61358.

The vehicle is similar to the photo below and has a 4’ box, black hard tonneau cover with a Detroit Lions blue logo on the passenger side rear window.

“In an effort to locate Ms. Boyle, police have conducted a ground search around the area she was last seen and continue to deploy the drone to assist with search efforts,” police officials said in a media release on Wednesday.

“Today, the CKPS Marine Unit is patrolling the waterways around Wallaceburg with the assistance of the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit who are using their side scan sonar.”

Police and family members are concerned for her safety and well-being, police officials say.

“Investigators would like to encourage everyone to be alert and attentive., police officials stated.
