Man charged with attempt murder

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Shortly after 4 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to a fail to remain motor vehicle collision on Harvey Street in Chatham.

Through investigation, police learned that the driver and victim were known to each other with evidence leading investigators to believe this was an intentional act.

The driver has been arrested and charged with attempt murder.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

The victim was transported to a Windsor hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition.
