Update: Witnesses sought after fatal crash

Lambton OPP officials allege: On October 4, 2019 at approximately 1:30 a.m., members of the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Lambton Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Dawn-Euphemia and Oil Springs Fire Department attended Oil Heritage Road between Aberfeldy Line and Gum Bed Line, Dawn-Euphemia Township to investigate a single motor vehicle collision.

The OPP have determined three people were deceased.

The driver was transported to a local hospital as a precaution.

At this stage of the investigation, it is believed that some of the passengers were not wearing their seat belt.

Portions of Oil Heritage Road and Aberfeldy Line were closed for several hours and has since been reopened.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld until next-of-kin notifications have been completed.
