Chatham-Kent Police Service officials are encouraging residents to avoid the area.
“Firefighters from Station 1 & 2 are responding to a structure fire at QPS Mechanical, just off of Sass Rd. in Chatham. Please avoid the area due to heavy smoke,” police officials said on social media.
