A woman was airlifted to London following a crash on Kimball Road on Tuesday morning.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege shortly after 10:30 a.m. yesterday morning, emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Kimball Road, just north of Langstaff Line in Wallaceburg.

“Preliminary investigation has revealed that the driver, a 23-year-old Wallaceburg woman, was travelling northbound on Kimball Road when she lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway, struck a hydro pole and a ditch culvert before coming to rest on a neighbouring lawn,” police officials said in a media release.

“The woman was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance – Sydenham Campus and air-lifted to a London Hospital with life-threatening injuries.”

The Traffic Unit has taken over the investigation.
