A man was airlifted to London with life threatening injuries, after a crash in Raleigh Township on Tuesday night.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege around 9:30 p.m. last night, emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Tecumseh Line, west of Merlin Road in Raleigh Township.

“Preliminary investigation has revealed that the driver, a 33-year-old Chatham man, was travelling westbound on Tecumseh Line, when he lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and collided with a hydro pole and culvert on the north side of the roadway,” police officials said in a media release.

“He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and air-lifted to a London Hospital with life-threatening injuries.”

The Traffic Unit has taken over the investigation.
