Man arrested from ‘Wanted List’

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, police arrested a man in Wallaceburg wanted for breaching his Probation Order and failing to attend court.

The 51-year-old man was transported to the Courthouse pending a bail hearing.

Suspicious vehicle complaint leads to arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint on Thames Street in Chatham.

Officers located the vehicle on Grant Street and a traffic stop was initiated.

Through investigation, police learned that a man in the vehicle was wanted for impaired driving and failing to attend court.

The 57-year-old Chatham man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Stolen vehicle in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between Wednesday at 10 p.m. and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. unknown suspects stole a grey 2005 Buick Century from a residence on Redbud Drive.

The vehicle was last seen with Ontario license plates CJXX 907.

Motor Vehicle Collisions

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Community Road between North Street and Wellington Street in Dresden.

No one was injured.

Total damage was estimated at $14,000.

A 23-year-old Dresden man was charged with following too closely.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Pioneer Line near Prince Albert Road.

No one was injured.

Total damage was estimated at $30,000.

A 65-year-old Chatham man was charged with trying to pass when the roadway was not clear.
