Bernd was a 50-year resident of Wallaceburg, recent resident of Huntsville, husband, brother, brother-in-law, father, grandfather, teacher, coach, and friend. Bernd was passionate about travelling, football, and politics. He adored his twelve grandchildren, ages 25 to 7 — Alexandra, Maxwell, Osborne, Alexa, Coleman, Nia, Kirsten, Isaac, Rowan, Marcus, Quinn, and Nadia — who kept him busy with sports, milestones, and visits throughout North America. Bernd was a dedicated brother to Gerd (Betty), Helmut (Muriel), and Heinz (predeceased), as well as devoted brother-in-law to Greg (Michelle), Bruce (Joan), Mark (Jocelyn), and Kirk (Marilyn) Sinclair. He was a loyal friend to all who knew him.
