CK Welcomes new Manager of Inspections

Following a comprehensive search and hiring process, the Municipality of Chatham-Kent Building Development Services has hired Paolo Magliaro as the new Manager of Inspections and Enforcement. Mr. Magliaro will commence his new role on November 4, 2019.

Paolo graduated from Civil Engineering Technology and began his career with the Municipality in 2005 as a Engineering and Traffic Assistant. He then left to work in the public sector for a few years before returning to the Municipality in 2011 as a Building Inspector. In 2015, Paolo took a position as an Engineering Technologist with Infrastructure & Engineering Services.

Paul Lacina, Director and Chief Building Official of Building Development Services says, “Paolo’s knowledge of the Ontario Building Code coupled with his knowledge of Civil Engineering will provide our team another layer of knowledge which will be a valuable asset to our department and the Municipality.”

“We are continuously looking at ways to strengthen our core services for the community and I am confident that Paolo will continue to drive our culture of continuous improvement,” said John Norton, General Manager of Chatham-Kent Community Development Department

Building Development Services provides enforcement of the Ontario Building Code through plan review, permit issuance, inspections, enforcement, and code interpretation by skilled and provincially certified staff.
