Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, police arrested a man wanted for failing to attend court earlier this month.

The 21-year-old Chatham man was transported to the Courthouse pending a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, an officer on general patrol initiated a traffic stop on St. Clair Street in Chatham.

Through investigation, police learned that an occupant in the vehicle was wanted for property related offences and failing to attend court.

A 54-year-old Dresden man was arrested and released pending a future court date of November 6, 2019.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, officers located a man wanted for breaching his Probation Order.

A 34-year-old Chatham man was arrested and released pending a future court date of November 1, 2019.

Traffic enforcement

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, the Traffic Unit conducted traffic enforcement on Mill Street West in Tilbury.

Twelve motorists were stopped and charged with speeding.

Theft of e-bike in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Around 3 a.m. this morning, an unknown man stole an orange and black EMO e-bike from a business on McNaughton Avenue.

The e-bike was last seen with a teddy bear holding a cup of coffee outside the saddlebag.

Total value of the theft has been estimated at $2,800.

Theft from storage unit in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime over the last couple weeks, unknown suspects cut the padlock to a storage unit on Grand Avenue East.

Once inside, the suspects stole fishing rods and tools, valued at approximately $1,000.

Mischief in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Around 2:40 a.m. this morning, unknown suspects believed to be driving a white SUV or Jeep drove into a parking lot on Thames Street and threw a large rock, breaking a door window of an apartment building.

Damage to vehicle in Ridgetown

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, unknown suspects broke a window to a vehicle parked on York Street West.
