Elizabeth Mae ‘Lizzie’ Isaac, a member of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away peacefully at Fairfield Park on Monday, October 21, 2019 at the age of 100.
Lizzie is the daughter of the late William & Charlotte (Jackson) Shaw. Predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph Isaac. Loving mother of Joanne Day (Winston), Linda George (Late Phillip) and Verlene Aquash. Dear grandmother of Stafford, Alvy, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Rueben, Leah, Rachel, Bernetta, Phillicia, Renee, Michelle, Stephanie, Tania, Bobbi-Jo, Danielle and the late Emerick, Ellery, Alicia and Phillip. Great grandmother and great great grandmother to many. Sister of the late Nancy Blackbird and Beatrice Shaw.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Walpole Island United Church on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. The funeral will be celebrated at the Walpole Island Sports Complex on Friday, October 25 at 1 pm. Interment to follow at Highbanks Cemetery.
