Fundraiser launched for Stitch

Stitch, who is owned by Wallaceburg resident Lisa Holland, has been diagnosed with lymphoma, which is a relatively common cancer, accounting for 15-20% of new cancer diagnoses in dogs.

“It looks as though this is going to be a bumpy road and an expensive one,” Hollans said. “I am not one to ask for help however I am one to work my butt off even harder when I need to. And now is that time.”

A grooming fundraiser is being held at Towell’s Pet Grooming in Wallaceburg on November 24, 2019. All proceeds of the fundraiser will be put towards offsetting the costs of Stitch’s vet bills and future treatment.

Grooming will be done from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. by appointment only, however walk ins for $7 nail trimming are welcome. (Pricing varies for grooming.)

Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymph nodes and lymphatic system. A veterinarian will need to perform additional testing to find out more information about the lymphoma and develop a treatment plan for Stitch.

To book your appointment for the fundraiser call (519) 917-5522 or contact Lisa on her Facebook page.
