Police assist with apparent Fentanyl overdose

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On November 17, a 28-year-old woman contacted 911 to report her acquaintance, 32-year-old man, was overdosing on Fentanyl.

Emergency Services were dispatched to the location of the two subjects.

The man was experiencing symptoms consistent with an opioid overdose and Police administered Narcan to the man as an emergency first aid measure.

Medical professionals arrived shortly after this and transported the man to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for further treatment.

The area of the event was searched and no illicit drugs were located.
