Thunderhawks top Sharks for their second win of the season

The Wallaceburg Thunderhawks won their second game of the season on Saturday night, November 16, in Wallaceburg.

The Thunderhawks topped the Sharks for the second time this season, winning 5-3.

Josh Remsik scored twice to lead the Wallaceburg squad. Remsik scored the eventual game winner at the 10:37 mark of the second period, putting the Thunderhawks up for good.

Remsik added an insurance marker at the 17:55 mark of the third period to seal the victory.

Jeremy Oriet, Jake Vancoillie and Myles Fraser also scored for Wallaceburg. Fraser and Vancoillie also added assists in the win. Stone Jacobs added two assists of his own.

Newly acquired goalie Nolan Hakr was solid between the pipes making 54 saves in the victory.

Wheatley out-shot the Thunderhawks 57-38.

Wallaceburg lost to Dresden is a close game 3-2 on Friday night and they also fell to Mooretown on Wednesday by a score of 6-2.

The Thunderhawks are 2-15-0-1 on the season, last place in the West Stobbs Division of the Provincial Junior Hockey League.
