Man arrested from ‘Wanted List’

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Shortly after 10 p.m. last night, police located a man from the Wanted List who was wanted for failing to comply with his release conditions, possession for the purposes of trafficking, breach of probation and failing to attend court.

The 33-year-old Chatham man was arrested and has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Executed warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, a man wanted in connection with a gas drive off in Wallaceburg while being in possession of a stolen truck earlier this month was arrested by OPP.

The 26-year-old man was transported back to Chatham-Kent for court purposes.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, police arrested a man in Chatham wanted by OPP.

The 39-year-old man was turned over to Lambton OPP officers for court purposes.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police arrested a man wanted in connection with a criminal harassment investigation.

A 37-year-old Dresden man was charged with three counts of criminal harassment, three counts of conveying a false message and three counts of uttering threats.

He was released pending a future court date of December 13, 2019.

Man charged with failing to comply

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last month, the man was released from custody with several conditions.

Two of those conditions stated that he was to abstain from communicating with a specific family member or attending her residence in Chatham.

Yesterday afternoon, the man attended her home and a verbal argument began.

Upon police arrival, the man was located standing outside the residence yelling at the woman.

The 27-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with his release conditions.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man charged with failing to sign in

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last month, a man was released from Court with several conditions.

One of those conditions stated that he had to attend police headquarters every Thursday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to sign in.

Last Thursday, the man failed to sign in.

Yesterday, the 32-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing to comply.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Woman charged with failing to comply

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Around 11:30 p.m. last night, police responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Queens Line near Merlin Road.

Officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop west of Dillon Road.

Through investigation, police learned that a woman in the vehicle was currently on conditions not to associate with a man in the vehicle.

The 37-year-old woman of no fixed address was arrested and charged with failing to comply.

She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Traffic enforcement

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, officers conducted traffic enforcement on McNaughton Avenue East in Chatham.

Eight motorists were stopped and charged with speeding.

Industrial accident in Ridgetown

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Around midnight, emergency crews responded to an industrial accident on Golf Course Line.

A 56-year-old man sustained injuries and was transported to hospital for medical attention.

The Ministry of Labour was notified and has taken over the investigation.
