Chatham-Kent OPP officials allege: The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a single motor vehicle collision in the westbound lanes of Highway 401 near Highway 40 in Chatham that occurred November 19, 2019 at approximately 5:30 a.m.
The collision involved a tractor trailer that rolled onto its side and caught fire.
There were no injuries reported.
The Ministry of the Environment (MOE) and the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) were both engaged.
Highway 401 westbound will remain closed at Highway 40 until further notice for the completion of the investigation and removal of the vehicle.
Motorists are asked to be aware of this closure and consider an alternate route.
