Aubrae Kehoe captures singing contest crown

Aubrae Kehoe was crowned as the winner of this year’s Langstaff and Langstaff Star Search Singing Contest on Friday, November 22.

Wallaceburg’s Mikayla Lozon placed second, while Laurie Goetz was third.

“The judges agreed that it was one of the most difficult years for choosing a winner as the competitors were outstanding,” organizers say.

The upstairs ballroom of the Canadian Belgian Dutch Club was packed for the final night of the event.

Grant and George Langstaff were on hand to present the first and second place prizes that they sponsored. Kehoe won $1,000, while Lozon walked away with $500.

Co-operators presented the $250 third place prize to Goetz.

The CBD will be holding the Senior Star Search contest in February.
