Lambton OPP officials allege: On June 5, 2019 at approximately 1:13 p.m. the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Lambton Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Brigden Fire Department attended the intersection of Mandaumin Road and Courtright Line, St. Clair Township to investigate a collision involving a transport truck and a sedan.
The driver of the sedan was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigation revealed the transport truck was travelling southbound on Mandaumin Road, entered into the intersection at Courtright Line and struck the sedan.
A 54-year-old Wallacetown man has been charged with Careless Driving Causing Death, pursuant to the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Provincial Offences Court-Sarnia on January 9, 2020.
