Chatham-Kent Council: December 9, 2019 agenda

Chatham-Kent Council is set to meet for a regular/planning meeting on Monday night, December 9, 2019.

The meeting is set to begin at 6 p.m. at the Civic Centre in Chatham.

Some of the items up for discussion, include:

– A report on the Proposed Sale of WDC Rail to 2719545.

– Several planning reports will be discussed, including: An application for a zoning by-law amendment in Harwich, applications for consent and zoning by-law amendments in Tilbury East, Ridgetown and Dover and applications for a draft plan of subdivision and zoning by-law amendment on Indian Creek Road West in Chatham.

– Mayor Darrin Canniff will make an announcement about a road closing a transfer to Bradley Farms Limited.

– Council will receive several information reports, regarding: Provincial Download 2020 Budget Summary, Proposed Arena Complex, Harm Reduction Program Update, Action Plan for Achieving Service Level Standards for the Municipality of Chatham-Kent Service Manager of Housing Services, Recreation Services Revisioning

– A routine approval for Traffic Control Signal By-law Housekeeping is on the agenda.

– The following committee reports are up for approval: Drainage Board Recommendations from its meeting held on November 19, 2019 and Police Services Board minutes from its meeting held on October 8, 2019.

– A report on the 2019 Ontario Volunteer Service Awards Nominations.

– A report on an Offer to Purchase – 55 Minnie Street, Wallaceburg.

– A report and recommendations Asset Divestment Timelines

– A report on a Request for Proposal Award for the Consulting Engineering Services for the Replacement of the McDougall Line Bridge over Government Drain #1 in Tilbury East.

– A report on CKTransit Fleet Ownership.

– A report on Winter Sidewalk and Highway Maintenance.

– A report on the Opportunity Villages Community Land Trust.

– A report on the Amending Appointment By-law.

– A report on the Appointment By-law – Fire Chief.

– Council will meet in Closed Session to discuss WDC Rail and Winter Sidewalk and Highway Maintenance.
