Wallaceburg Adult Activity Centre launches new website

The Wallaceburg Adult Activity Centre is making a leap into the future.

The Centre has officially launched a new website, which can be seen, here: https://wallaceburgadultactivitycentre.ca/

“This website hosts all the information you need to know about us including our activities and events,” Wallaceburg Adult Activity Centre officials said in a media release.

“This is not the only move forward into the future. In January, there will be Technology Workshops. The first workshop will start with an introduction and orientation to technology, appropriately named Tech 101. Bring your curiosity and questions and welcome to the 21st Century.”

The workshops will focus on educating people about various computer related terminology.

“If you are apprehensive of using your devices or are lost when you hear computer terms, jargon and/or lingo like Gigabytes or Gigabits to RAM, cache, cookies, spam and Phishing,” Wallaceburg Adult Activity Centre officials said.

“If Apps and App Stores feel foreign or you have security concerns, then this Workshop is for you.”

Cost is $5 for Wallaceburg Adult Activity Centre members and $10 for non-members.

“It is a very affordable way to be introduced into the technological world that is advancing quickly,” Wallaceburg Adult Activity Centre officials said.

“The registration deadline is January 6, 2020. Seating is limited, so register early.”

For more information about this workshop or to register, visit the Wallaceburg Adult Activity Centre, located at 205 James Street in downtown Wallaceburg.
