‘Secret Santa’ initiative by the CKPS

This holiday season, members of the Chatham-Kent Police will be out in full force looking for community members who are doing good deeds for others with small random acts of kindness.

Officers will stop these citizens and provide them with a gift certificate to a local restaurant or grocery store, as a thank you for demonstrating qualities of a positive member of our community.

“We’ve met some pretty selfless, kind and generous people in our travels,” stated Inspector Kirk Earley.

“Our community is full of amazing people – glad we were able to ‘catch’ a few to show our appreciation and say thank you.”

The gift certificates have all been purchased, thanks to the generosity of the Chatham-Kent Police Services Board and Chatham-Kent Police Association.
