Snowfall warning, full weekend forecast

Snowfall warning remain in effect

Environment Canada says heavy snow continues this morning across Chatham-Kent.

“Snow heavy at times will result in total snowfall amounts of 15 to 20 cm by the time it changes over to a few showers around noon,” forecasters say.

“Southeasterly winds gusting to 60 km/h will whip up freshly fallen snow causing sudden low visibility in blowing snow this morning.”

Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult, Environment Canada officials say.

“Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow,” forecasters say.

“Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow.”
