2020 March Classic Registration Now Open

Grain Farmers of Ontario, the province’s largest commodity organization, representing Ontario’s 28,000 barley, corn, oat, soybean, and wheat farmers is pleased to announce registration for the March Classic is now open.

Each year Grain Farmers of Ontario hosts the March Classic to bring together hundreds of grain farmers, the agriculture industry, government and more. This year, the theme is Marching Ahead, which acknowledges the legacy of work and care Ontario’s grain farmers and the agriculture industry have and how that legacy shapes the future as farmers continue to work diligently for others, build sustainable businesses and find new ways to produce food in a way that benefits the people and the planet.

This year, the conference, on Tuesday March 24, 2020 at RBC Place (formerly the London Convention Centre) in London, Ontario, is especially important to Grain Farmers of Ontario as it is celebrating 10 years of being Ontario’s largest commodity organization and 10 years of March Classic conferences.

“We are thrilled to have reached these remarkable milestones and we want to find ways to celebrate the amazing speakers and conversations that the March Classic has introduced to our attendees, and to acknowledge the successes, dedication and hard work of Grain Farmers of Ontario in the last 10 years, and the support of our farmer-members over this first decade for the organization,” said Victoria Berry, Manager, Communications at Grain Farmers of Ontario.

The 2020 speaker lineup includes former leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, Rona Ambrose on trade and foreign affairs. Attendees will hear the first Canadian taping of the U.S. Farm Report featuring Tyne Morgan as the host, as well as Jim Handman, one of the producers of CBC’s Quirks & Quarks who will talk to the disconnect between science and the mainstream media.

Those that register early can be entered into January and February early bird draws for a Grain Farmers of Ontario ten year celebratory prize!
