Man charged with mischief
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police responded to the report of a suspicious man in the area of Grand Avenue in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that the man had thrown two pieces of ice towards Fire Station #1, striking the roof lights and front bumper of a fire truck.
A physical description of the man was provided to police.
Officers quickly located the man on Sandys Street and he was taken into custody.
A 40-year-old Chatham man was charged with mischief.
He was released pending a future court date of February 4, 2020.
Executed warrants
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, police arrested a woman wanted for failing to attend for her fingerprints last month.
A 55-year-old Wallaceburg woman was released pending a future court date of February 5, 2020.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police responded to the report of a woman who was refusing to leave a business on Grand Avenue in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that the woman was currently wanted for failing to attend court earlier this month.
The 35-year-old Chatham woman has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On January 2, 2020 police responded to a shoplifting complaint at Walmart in Chatham.
Through investigation, police identified the woman responsible and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Last night, police located the woman and she was arrested.
A 25-year-old Chatham woman was charged with theft under $5,000 and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.
She was released pending a future court date of February 12, 2020.

A total of 25 vehicles were stopped with no infractions observed.
Theft of electronics in Chatham
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime over the last couple weeks, unknown suspects forced their way into a residence on Gladstone Avenue, causing about $500 damage.
Once inside, the suspects stole various electronics, valued at approximately $2,000.

Theft of tools in Blenheim
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early yesterday morning, around 1 a.m. unknown suspects entered a home under construction on Fargo Road and stole construction tools valued at $300.
