Donna “Maxine” Mifflin, formerly of Dresden passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the loving and caring community of Sunnyside Home Nursing Home, Kitchener at the age of 89.
Born in Dresden, the daughter of the late William and Frances (Purdy) Hawgood. Maxine was a member of the Dresden Community Church. Beloved wife of the late Clair Mifflin (1992). Loving mother of Allan (Brenda) Mifflin, Gary (Nancy) Mifflin, Steve (Linda) Mifflin and Jody (Gus) Langlois. Cherished grandma of Sean (Amy), Ashley (Andy), Shannon (Ryan), Courtney (Connor), Jesse, Allison (Keith), Trevor (Jen), 11 great grandchildren and step grandchildren Matthew and Lincoln. Cherished and loved by best friend of 14 years Jerome Ide. Also survived by sister-in-law Chere McFadden, brother-in-law Don (Irmgard) Mifflin and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Beatrice (Lorne) Harris, brothers-in-law Clayton (Thelma) Mifflin, Murray (Doreen) Mifflin, Terry McFadden and dear grandson Jason Mifflin.
The Mifflin family will receive friends at the Dresden Community Church 29043 Community Rd., Dresden on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM. Interment in Dresden Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society. If anyone is sending flowers, please do not send lilies due to an allergy in the family.
